And the LORDH3068 saidH559 to Satan,H7854 From whereH335 H2088 comeH935 you? And SatanH7854 answeredH6030 the LORD,H3068 and said,H559 From goingH7751 to and froH7751 in the earth,H776 and from walkingH1980 up and down in it.

And the LORDH3068 saidH559 to Satan,H7854 Have you consideredH3820 my servantH5650 Job,H347 that there is noneH369 likeH3644 him in the earth,H776 a perfectH8535 and an uprightH3477 man,H376 one that fearsH3373 God,H430 and eschewsH5493 evil?H7451 and stillH5750 he holdsH2388 fast his integrity,H8538 although you movedH5496 me against him, to destroyH1104 him withoutH2600 cause.H2600

And SatanH7854 answeredH6030 the LORD,H3068 and said,H559 SkinH5785 for skin,H5785 yes, allH3605 that a manH376 has will he giveH5414 for his life.H5315

But putH7971 forthH7971 your handH3027 now,H4994 and touchH5060 his boneH6106 and his flesh,H1320 and he will curseH1288 you to your face.H6440

And the LORDH3068 saidH559 to Satan,H7854 Behold,H2009 he is in your hand;H3027 but saveH8104 his life.H5315

So wentH3318 SatanH7854 forthH3318 from the presenceH6440 of the LORD,H3068 and smoteH5221 JobH347 with soreH7451 boilsH7822 from the soleH3709 of his footH7272 to his crown.H6936

And he tookH3947 him a potsherdH2789 to scrapeH1623 himself with; and he satH3427 down amongH8432 the ashes.H665

Then saidH559 his wifeH802 to him, Do you stillH5750 retainH2388 your integrity?H8538 curseH1288 God,H430 and die.H4191

Now when Job'sH347 threeH7969 friendsH7453 heardH8085 of allH3605 thisH2063 evilH7451 that was comeH935 on him, they cameH935 everyH376 oneH376 from his own place;H4725 EliphazH464 the Temanite,H8489 and BildadH1085 the Shuhite,H7747 and ZopharH6691 the Naamathite:H5284 for they had made an appointmentH3259 togetherH3162 to comeH935 to mournH5110 with him and to comfortH5162 him.

And when they liftedH5375 up their eyesH5869 afarH7350 off, and knewH5234 him not, they liftedH5375 up their voice,H6963 and wept;H1058 and they rentH7167 everyH376 oneH376 his mantle,H4598 and sprinkledH2236 dustH6083 on their headsH7218 toward heaven.H8064
